5 Years Of Warranty

1. inoage grants 5 years of limited manufacturer's warranty to the purchaser of MADRIX hardware products.
2. Customers can be certain of the longevity of MADRIX products beyond this time frame thanks to the usage of high-quality components.
   Those include Neutrik plugs and power supplies from MEAN WELL, for example.
3. The average hardware failure and return rate is only 0.18 % (Last update: 02/2021). MADRIX products have thus proven to be extremely reliable in practice.
4. Should a product be sent back, repair always takes priority before completely replacing the product.
5. Fail-safe products reduce the necessity and costs for maintenance, repair, and re-acquisition for all parties involved.
6. MADRIX hardware is developed in such a way that the firmware can easily be updated. Hence, issues can be fixed and new features can be provided even after manufacturing. This extends the products' service life many times over.
7. MADRIX products are hence designed for a sustainable life cycle from the beginning.

1. inoage mainly works together with local production companies. Shorter supply routes thus reduce the carbon footprint. All partners are committed to more sustainable and ecologically friendly business practices.
2. inoage is a German company. Development and manufacturing are done locally. The majority of the value chain is based in Germany.

 

 

Energy Consumption

1. The grid operator for the office building is committed to strict standards. They produce ecological power from 100 % renewable sources and according to the criteria of the Greenpeace e.V. environmental organization.
2. Power consumption of MADRIX hardware is low. During normal operation less than 5 W are needed.

 

 

Sales

1. MADRIX products are sold worldwide. The goal is to partner with local distributors to bundle product shipments for each country. Instead of a large number of single shipments, consolidating them into one large delivery is preferred.
2. inoage has arranged with select partners to proactively fill up shipments with additional units in order to optimize the available space.
3. One of the latest instruments is the addition of bulk packaging. Products are increasingly order for big projects in large quantities. But not every part of the packaging is needed for such large orders. Packaging is reduced to a minimum to ensure safe transport. In this way, unnecessary materials are not being shipped in the first place.

 

 

Packaging

1. inoage has deliberately chosen cardboard as the main part of the product packaging, since it is a renewable resource. In addition, it can be recycled completely and has many other advantages.
2. inoage also actively minimizes the usage of plastics in order to reduce the environmental impact.
3. Regarding printing companies, inoage pays attention to various certificates, such as FSC, as well as certified production processes. Possibilities of reducing the carbon footprint are used if possible.

MADRIX HARDWARE MANAGER Software License Agreement

This end-user license agreement ('EULA') is a legal agreement between you and the company inoage GmbH ('inoage').
This EULA governs your use of the MADRIX HARDWARE MANAGER Software ('software') but not its acquisition, and thereby does not refer to your purchase contract.

PLEASE CAREFULLY AND THOROUGHLY READ THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT. MAKE SURE THAT YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND ALL INFORMATION. The software or any part thereof is licensed 'as is' and without warranty of any kind.
inoage does not grant guarantee on validity for a particular reason, the marketability, or other properties of the product. There is no way to assert a claim to inoage, neither in the legal way nor in other ways. inoage is not responsible for damages, including all disadvantages that are not just limited to the loss of sales, but that are caused due to the use of the product, due to the loss of serviceability of the product, due to misuse, happenings, circumstances, or actions that inoage does not have influence on, no matter if the damages as well as consequential damages are direct or indirect, incidental or consequential; whether they are special damages or others, nor if the damage is caused by the owner of the warranty or a third person.

Any and all such warranties are disclaimed likewise by contributors, licensors, and third parties of third-party software, SDKs, and drivers that enable specific software features.

You accept that you are using the software at your own and sole risk. This also refers to the level of satisfaction regarding its quality, features, and performance.

 

USAGE RIGHTS
inoage conceded you the limited, non-exclusive right to use this software, and the associated documents and files, in accordance with the terms of this license agreement. The software is 'used' on a computer or similar hardware system when it has been loaded or installed on a storage device of the computer, including but not limited to hard disks, SSDs, non-volatile memory, or similar, or loaded into memory in general. The software usage rights are thus not sold but conceded under license.

Full ownership over the software and all rights that are not expressly granted to you by this license remain with inoage.

 

SOFTWARE LICENSE AND AUTHORIZED USE
This software is free to use and does not require you to purchase a software license in order to fully unlock the software's features.However, the software's intended purpose is the management and configuration of MADRIX hardware products, which are available for purchase separately.

You are authorized to use the software extensively and according to its features as described above especially, but not limited to, for commercial purposes and production work.

 

RESTRICTIONS
You are not allowed to or allowed to attempt to and agree to not enable others to:
(a) add to, alter, decode, decompile, delete from, disassemble, decrypt, edit, modify, recompile, rename, reverse-engineer the whole software or any part thereof (except as expressly permitted by this license regarding open-source components), otherwise attempt to derive or gain access to the source code, reduce the compiled binary assembly to human-readable form, or create derivative works from the software or any part thereof;
(b) alter, delete, remove, or obscure any identification of the software, copyright note, or any other notes relating to the property restrictions of the software or any part thereof;
(c) bypass, circumvent, overcome, or work around any technical or non-technical means, restrictions, or limitations that are put in place in or together with the software;
(d) copy the whole or parts of the software's documentation.

 

PERMISSIONS
(a) You are allowed to install, run, and use the software within the limits of this license.

 

TERMINATION
This license is effective until terminated. You can terminate it at any time by removing, deleting, and destroying all software files and associated copies. This license will also automatically terminate if you fail to comply with one or more of its clauses. In this case, you must destroy the software and all the associated data, documents, and copies immediately.

 

COPYRIGHT AND PROPERTY
This software and all of its source codes are the exclusive property of inoage, except where otherwise noted, and are protected by the laws in force on the copyright and the intellectual property. MADRIX is a registered trademark of inoage GmbH. All other company and product names may be trademarks of their respective companies.

 

THIRD PARTIES
Third-party copyright information and legal notices are accessible or point to further information under the menu 'Help > About...' or corresponding chapters in the software's user manual.
Certain third-party software, including features provided by the operating system, and/or SDKs and drivers are required for specific software features. Please note that all of these tools may be subject to their own, separate end-user license agreements or similar terms and conditions.

CONSENT

1. Commercial Warranty

Five years of limited manufacturer's warranty are granted for hardware products of the MADRIX brand starting from July 01, 2020 with regards to constructional fault, material defect, or incorrect assembly the manufacturer has caused or is to be held responsible for ('Warranty').

1.1. Covered Products

MADRIX hardware products covered by the Warranty ('Product') include MADRIX AURA, MADRIX LUNA, MADRIX NEBULA, MADRIX ORION, MADRIX STELLA, MADRIX USB ONE, and MADRIX USB SMPTE.

1.2. Recipient Of The Warranty

The Warranty is granted to the person or company purchasing Products which are and are declared as new goods for the purpose of first use from an authorized dealer or distribution partner, or directly from the Manufacturer ('Customer').

1.3. Manufacturer And Contact Details

The issuer of the Warranty is ('Manufacturer'):

1.4. Additional Notes Regarding Legal Warranties

Above granted rights of the Warranty are voluntary services for the Purchaser by the Manufacturer and are to be seen in addition to any rights that may be granted by local consumer protection laws and regulations.

1.5. Limitations Of The Warranty

1. This Warranty will become void if a Product is opened, modified, or damaged through inappropriate handling, wrong usage, overvoltage, or damaged through any other cause. The technical specifications of a Product are listed in the printed Technical Manual that accompanies the Product in its retail packaging. The Technical Manual also describes normal usage; especially by listing safety instructions and regular use cases.
2. This Warranty will also become void in case service on the Product, which is performed by anyone other than the Manufacturer or a Warranty service dealer approved by the Manufacturer, results in damage to the Product.
3. This Warranty does not apply to a Product that has been disassembled, defaced, altered, subjected to abuse, neglected, or has by accident or not been exposed to incorrect supply of power or lightning strikes, or that has had its serial number altered or removed, or that has been connected, installed, or adjusted in a way other than in accordance with the instructions provided by the Manufacturer.
4. This Warranty does not cover labor costs that might arise from removing the Product for repair (or later reinstalling it) or for any expendable parts that are readily replaced during normal use.
5. The sole responsibility of the Manufacturer under this Warranty shall be limited to repair of the Product, or replacement thereof, at the sole discretion of the Manufacturer.
6. If it becomes necessary to send the Product or any defective part to the Manufacturer, the Product has to be shipped according to the Manufacturer’s RMA Terms And Conditions (stated below).

2. RMA Terms And Conditions

2.1. Important Information

1. Before returning any Product or item, a Return Material Authorization ('RMA') number has to be obtained by the Customer from the Manufacturer by contacting the Manufacturer in writing via email using the e-mail address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
2. To make a Warranty claim, the start date of the Warranty ('Date') has to be proven to the Manufacturer with the dated invoice of the original Customer. If that document cannot be presented, the Manufacturer will calculate the Date by using the date the product has left the Manufacturer’s warehouse plus 30 calendar days.
3. E-mail correspondence is sufficient for all such written communication.

2.2. Prerequisites

1. Before an RMA number is issued, the Manufacturer will first contact and work with the Customer to try to resolve any issues.
2. Only after it has been determined that the Product needs to be sent in, an RMA number will be issued to the Customer.
3. The RMA number will be sent via e-mail together with a digital RMA Sheet.

2.3. RMA Procedure

1. The Customer has to fill out the RMA Sheet provided by the Manufacturer completely and legibly.
   (The form can be filled in digitally using a personal computer.)
2. The Customer needs to enclose a printed copy of the completed RMA Sheet with the returned Product.
   Alternatively, the completed RMA Sheet can be sent by e-mail. In this case, the Customer has to make sure that the corresponding RMA number is clearly and visibly marked on or added to the package.
3. Products or items that have been sent to the Manufacturer without a valid RMA number can be returned to the sender; and if so at the expense of the sender.
4. When returning several Products in a single shipment, the Customer needs to provide an individual RMA Sheet for each returned Product.
5. The Customer has to return Products in packaging suitable for the transport. For any shipments, the address provided above is to be used.
6. The Customer will take on all shipping costs of returning Products to the Manufacturer and will assume the transport risk, which usually can be insured. The Manufacturer will not assume responsibility for any loss or damage incurred during shipping.
7. The Manufacturer will evaluate all returned Products according to the information provided by the Customer. Defective Products or parts that fall under Warranty will be repaired or replaced free of charge and the Manufacturer will pay the freight and shipping charges of sending repaired or replaced Products back to the Customer.
8. Repaired or replaced Products will still be subject to the original Warranty period of the Product, which remains unchanged, but never less than 30 calendar days.
9. In case the Manufacturer determines that there is no Warranty case because the issue, cause, or malfunction causing the issue is not covered by the Warranty and the claim is thus denied, or in case the Manufacturer cannot duplicate the problem itself or the conditions that have caused the return of the Product, an evaluation fee of 50.00 EUR will be charged.
10. In case repair is still possible for Products from denied Warranty cases or failed evaluations, the Customer will receive a written offer with an estimate of the total costs. This offer needs to be confirmed by the Customer before any out-of-warranty repairs will be carried out. The Manufacturer's current labor rate is 100.00 EUR per hour, plus costs for the required parts.
11. If the offer is denied by the Customer or no offer could be made, the Product will be returned to the Customer 'as is' and as soon as possible at the Customer’s expense for freight, shipping, insurance, and customs as applicable, or the Product will be discarded after 30 calendar days of written notification of denial at the Customer’s discretion.

DEMO MODE
The software can be downloaded for free from the website www.madrix.com and runs in demo mode if you do not connect a valid and activated MADRIX KEY to your computer or use compatible MADRIX hardware interface(s), that is valid MADRIX RDM node(s), to unlock the software's features. Demo mode limits unrestricted usage to the first two RDM devices/sub-devices that are connected. Demo mode can be used for evaluation, demonstration, testing purposes, and productive use.

SOFTWARE LICENSE AND AUTHORIZED USE
You can purchase a MADRIX KEY that includes a software license after activation or use valid MADRIX RDM node(s) to unlock the software's features. The MADRIX KEY or MADRIX RDM node(s) can be used flexibly with different computers if needed, but only unlock the full license once, i.e. at one computer at a time. A full license can only be unlocked by using a valid MADRIX KEY with a valid software license or a valid MADRIX RDM node(s).

You are only authorized to use the software extensively and according to its features within the limits of the demo mode as described above or when it is fully unlocked by use of a valid MADRIX KEY with a valid software license or valid MADRIX RDM node(s) especially, but not limited to, for commercial purposes, production work, and lighting control in live productions or fixed installations.
